Chinmay Das had completed his schooling from Ravenshaw Collegiate School, Cuttack in the year 1987 and persued +2 Science stream there after in Ravenshaw College . University College of Engineering, Burla , the premier engineering college of Orissa, is his Alma Matar and there he learned the basics of engineering while obtaining the honours degree in mechanical engineering. Later on he had completed post graduate degree in production engineering from the same institute. For several years he worked in various small industrial organisations and decided to start one industrial consultancy service firm for the benefits of local industies.
In addition to this he is also actively involved in engineering teaching and research by associating with local engineering college A.B.I.T., Cuttack.
